Their Story
A Wedding in the Sicilian Hills
Some couples simply know the kind of day they are dreaming of — and from our very first conversation, Jessica and Seb knew. They wanted somewhere unmistakably Sicilian: warm, rustic and a little bit magical, far from the ordinary and full of that easy Mediterranean joy.
We found it for them at Casale degli Aranci, tucked into the hills of Calatafimi-Segesta in the province of Trapani, roughly between Palermo and Trapani. It is a genuinely beautiful, rustic wedding location — citrus groves, open countryside and stunning views over the Sicilian hills, with a historic courtyard made for outdoor ceremonies.
Because the Casale collaborates officially with the City Hall of Calatafimi-Segesta, Jessica and Seb were able to hold a fully legal civil ceremony right there on site — no rushing between town halls, no compromise on the setting. Just the two of them, their people, and the Sicilian sky.
One of the things Jessica loved most was that the Casale has two getting-ready rooms, so the bridal party could arrive early and spend a relaxed, unhurried morning at the venue — sipping something cold, laughing together and taking in those sweeping countryside views as the day came to life around them.
When the moment came, Jessica walked to Seb along a stone staircase on her father’s arm, and the ceremony itself was full of warmth and laughter — not least from Seb, grinning from ear to ear beside the Italian officiant in the tricolour sash.
Their guests made a proper holiday of it, staying in the gorgeous coastal town of Castellammare del Golfo. Because the Casale is so close by, everyone could enjoy real Sicily in between — beach days with family and friends, boat excursions along the coast, and long harbour-side dinners.
On the wedding day I arranged a coach to carry everyone together up to the Casale, an easy twenty-minute ride from Castellammare through the countryside, so no one had to think about directions or driving. They could simply relax and enjoy the anticipation.
And then the celebration itself. The food was, quite honestly, exquisite — generous, authentic Sicilian menus that had guests talking long after the plates were cleared. It is the kind of Sicilian hospitality you cannot fake.
Two Getting-Ready Rooms
The bridal party arrived early to relax and get ready on site, with countryside views all around.

Guests stayed in Castellammare del Golfo — beach time and boat excursions between the celebrations.

A Celebration to Remember
As the sun dropped behind the hills, the party truly began — laughter that carried across the courtyard, a first dance under a canopy of string lights, cake and sparklers, and finally fireworks blooming over the Casale to send the newlyweds into their first night as husband and wife. It was joyful, heartfelt and entirely them.
